A new way of food depositing

FoodJet develops depositing solutions for industrial food production, with a focus on controlled dosing and repeatable patterns. Depending on the material, product variation, and line setup, our technology can help reduce giveaway and support consistent application on the conveyor.

What sets FoodJet apart?

FoodJet helps manufacturers deposit materials with more control over pattern, position, and dosing than traditional one-size-fits-all solutions. By combining per-nozzle control with recipe-driven settings, you can run different products and patterns with fewer manual adjustments—depending on your process and configuration. Optional vision support can further improve targeting when product spacing or position varies on the conveyor. This enables high-resolution patterns and selective depositing across multiple lanes, depending on the required output and configuration.

It’s all in the vision

FoodJet machines can be equipped with vision technology. Products can be detected via cameras or sensors, and—depending on product presentation and variability—this supports targeting when position or spacing on the belt changes.

Benefits of our depositing technology

Depending on your products and line conditions, FoodJet’s targeting and nozzle control can help reduce alignment sensitivity and support more repeatable deposition.

  • Depending on the setup, products may require less mechanical alignment before depositing.
  • Supports application on products with variation in shape, size, or position on the conveyor.
  • Material can be deposited at defined positions and patterns, depending on product detection and configuration.

Efficiency at its core

FoodJet depositors are designed with serviceability and cleaning in mind. Depending on the configuration, recipe-driven settings and modular components can help shorten changeovers and reduce manual adjustments. Many systems can be integrated with third-party CIP setups; cleaning sequences can be supported by software, depending on the installed options and customer SOPs.

Depositing machine made for your production line

We design depositing equipment for your production line. Inputs such as viscosity, temperature window, belt width, target output, and required pattern are used to define a suitable configuration—depending on your process requirements.

  • A frame capable of supporting 24 depositor heads, with retractable tray, supply piping, and control cabinet.
  • A depositor head with a row of nozzles jetting liquid droplets onto the product. Each nozzle can be controlled individually.
  • A control system which enables operators to design customizable patterns for depositor heads.

Frequently asked questions

What makes FoodJet's food depositors unique in the market?

FoodJet depositors combine per-nozzle control with optional vision/sensor support. Depending on the application, this can help apply patterns more consistently when product position or size varies on the conveyor, while supporting repeatable dosing targets.

Why do manufacturers choose FoodJet over traditional depositors?

Compared with traditional solutions, FoodJet systems can use vision and sensor input—depending on configuration—to compensate for product variation and reduce the need for strict mechanical alignment. The depositing head concept supports targeted application and pattern control, depending on the required resolution and material properties.

How much does a FoodJet depositor cost?

The price of a machine is often dependent on the amount of dosing nozzles needed in your production process. This in its turn is dependent on the width of your conveyor belt and the desired resolution for your products.
