FoodJet Technology Center

FoodJet operates from its headquarters in Nijmegen, where we develop and build depositing solutions for industrial food production. We also have a second location in Wijchen, focused on testing and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). Together, these sites bring engineering, software and process validation together before installation.

What drives us

Flexible food depositors

With our precision depositing systems, we help manufacturers apply materials with controlled weight, position, and patterning—depending on the product and line setup. Our modular approach supports flexibility when product ranges change or on-the-line variation increases.

FoodJet sites

Nijmegen is our headquarters for development and production. Wijchen is set up for application testing and hosting customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). This split helps us validate solutions in a controlled environment before installation, depending on the project.

Solve the impossible

We are a family business with over 40 years of engineering experience. Although traditional machine building is our heritage, our focus over the last 20 years has been to deliver solutions that others would consider impossible. Most of our employees, therefore, are highly educated engineers in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, software, and process technology – people who want to make a difference.

Market-proven benefits

For us, high-tech is not the goal—it’s a means to achieve practical results on the production floor. We focus on solutions that make sense for your process, are backed by testing, and are built for long-term reliability.

Let us help you

In Nijmegen, we develop and build our systems, and in Wijchen, we can perform testing and host Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), depending on the project. If you want to discuss your application or a new product concept, reach out—we’ll review what’s needed and what’s realistic.

Composing your depositing system

Our systems are built from modular, standardised components. Using our in-house 3D CAD library, we can create an initial proposal design efficiently and align early on layout, interfaces, and requirements—before detailed engineering starts.

Validate before installation

We aim to align the system with your specifications by validating critical process parameters early. Where feasible, we perform testing ahead of installation and can host Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) at our Wijchen location—depending on product, material, and line conditions.

Proof of the pudding

FoodJet has experience with non-Newtonian flow behaviour and how it impacts depositing stability and patterning. Where relevant, we can support rheology discussions and perform flow analysis for specific materials used in our depositing systems.

Food design

As product life cycles get shorter, food manufacturers face the challenge of creating new products that can attract attention in record time. To develop distinctive products at scale, manufacturers typically need flexibility, repeatability, and efficient changeovers—depending on portfolio and production setup.

It’s all digital…

FoodJet systems use industrial control components, including PC-based controllers, servo motion control, and 2D/3D vision measurement. Configuration and operation can be supported through FoodJet software, including FoodJet Designer Studio and the FoodJet Control Platform, depending on the system and use case.
