Moveable frame

The MDLV1200 is a moveable C-frame that holds four depositing heads. It contains the mass supply piping, pumps, buffer tank, and control cabinet. The frame can be docked onto an existing conveyor system or onto the floor. The entire frame is IP67, sanitary design with minimal cabling on the outside. It is built for extremely harsh environments regarding handling and cleaning. The entire liquid foodstuff circuit is CIP-able without any need for disassembly.

Flexible depositing

The depositing heads are directly positioned over the moving conveyers, so the liquid foodstuff can be accurately deposited on top of products being transported without the need to start/stop. Each individual head can deposit on a 200mm wide section of the conveyor belt. Combining these ranges, a wide depositing range is formed that can cover all products anywhere on the total width of the conveyor belt. A camera system captures all individual contours of the products to be deposited and adapts the patterns accordingly, keeping the deposit volumes constant despite shape variations.

Highly accurate deposit volume

Volume control is done by means of servo-driven volumetric pumps. One pump is directly connected to one depositor head with a short flexible hose. The servo controller continuously calculates the pump’s required rotational position based on forward information of the patterns to be printed. This way, a highly accurate deposit volume can be guaranteed, even when liquid consistency fluctuations occur during long production runs.
