Garlic butter depositing

Garlic butter is a spread-like material, which makes uniform application on bread and buns harder to standardize at production speed. FoodJet depositors apply garlic butter in-line using controlled distribution patterns to support consistent coverage targets and product appearance. The setup is tuned to material behavior such as viscosity and temperature, and configured to your product presentation and line layout. This supports frequent product variation while keeping change-overs manageable in production.

FoodJet enables depositing of garlic butter on bread and buns using controlled distribution patterns. This supports a more uniform spread across the surface compared to manual application, depending on product presentation and material behavior. The setup can be configured for aligned trays and, when needed, enhanced for variable positioning.

No need for product alignment

Slices with shape variations are almost impossible to line up. With FoodJet Control Platform, our vision technology recognizes shape variations and supports adaptive depositing. This helps apply garlic butter onto the product even when the position and orientation vary (depending on setup).

Garlic butter with inclusions

Traditional depositing solutions have a hard time handling the inclusions that are typical for garlic butter. This is not the case with the depositors of FoodJet. FoodJet uses depositing heads with pinch valves that make automated application of garlic butter possible.

Faster change-overs

What if you no longer have to make mechanical changes to your depositor to switch from one shape or size to another? You simply load a pre-saved setting and off you go. That is how FoodJet sauce depositors work. Change-overs can be executed directly in the software by loading a preset. In many cases, this enables switching patterns or recipes without mechanical adjustments and with minimal line interruption (depending on cleaning requirements and material handling).

Where to place…

Garlic butter depositing is typically integrated when products are stable on the conveyor and ready for topping, before closing or packaging steps. Placement depends on line layout, product handling and material behavior at process temperature. The best position is usually selected based on available space and the required coverage definition.
